Resilience, commitment and determination
19th August 2022
Learning Partners are delighted with the A-level and BTEC results released on 18 August at Fullbrook, George Abbot and Guildford County and would like to congratulate all the students who have navigated these last two years with admirable resilience and determination.
The last two years has seen much disruption in education caused by the pandemic. It has been particularly difficult for those students taking exams this year, having missed out on a previous exam season and much of their learning for these qualifications taking place remotely. At the outbreak of Covid-19, teachers and support staff had to alter their way of working in an unprecedented manner to accommodate the pandemic and to ensure that the students received as normal and as thorough education as was possible during that time. Students’ lives were turned upside down, they had to become more self-disciplined and develop an independent learning style almost overnight.
Thankfully, although only recently, school life started to return to normality and this year’s cohort were able to work together face to face in the latter stages, sit their exams and participate in end of school celebrations.
All three schools have reported on the following impressive A-Level results;
Fullbrook School
98% pass rate
72% of students achieving an A*- C

They should be immensely proud of themselves and of the resilience they have shown over the last two years. It has not been easy, but they have done incredibly well, and I am sure that this experience will stand them in good stead for the exciting futures ahead of them. I would like to thank all the staff in the schools for their dedication and hard work to ensure that these results were realised and for the essential, caring pastoral support that is offered throughout this journey. We are very proud to be leading schools where children thrive.”
